Black Bay Development Partners was founded to further the real estate development and investment activities of Black Bay Ventures. Since 1998, Black Bay Ventures has successfully acquired and managed investments in the manufacturing, real estate and renewable energy sectors throughout New England. Black Bay Ventures has exhibited an exceptional track record in both delivering superior products and services while also providing significant shareholder value over the past 20 years. Black Bay Development Partners aims to further expand and build upon the successes of Black Bay Ventures in the multifamily housing industry.
Our Mission
Black Bay Development Partners mission is to provide quality, well-managed market rate and affordable housing for our tenants of properties that we develop and manage. Additionally, Black Bay Development Partners looks to invest in areas where quality housing can provide a positive impact on the community.
Our TeAM
Robert Logan, Principal
Black Bay Development Partners was founded and is headed by its principal, Robert Logan of Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Logan’s duties include sourcing of prospective transactions, both by way of identifying new construction and existing acquisition/rehab opportunities. Mr. Logan works in tandem with local governmental authorities to assess the need for multifamily housing, and works to obtain necessary permitting and governmental approvals for projects under consideration. Further, Mr. Logan performs extensive financial analysis and manages the closing process of targeted acquisitions.
Mr. Logan most recently served as an Assistant Vice President in the real estate acquisitions group at R4 Capital LLC and has extensive experience in the multifamily housing industry including acquiring over $800 million (total development cost) in mixed and low-income multi-family properties for R4 Capital LLC, Hunt Capital Partners LLC and Hunt Pacific Asset Management. Additionally, Mr. Logan also has extensive experience working in the asset management division of several large national syndicators, including Centerline Capital Group. Mr. Logan holds a BS degree in Finance with minor degrees in Real Estate Investments and History from Lehigh University.
David Logan, Principal
David Logan is the founding member of Black Bay Development Partner’s parent company, Black Bay Ventures. Since 1998, Mr. Logan has invested extensively throughout New England in the areas of manufacturing, real estate and renewable energy. Mr. Logan brings a strong investment and managerial background and sits on the investment committee of Black Bay Development Partners.
